The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, September 30 reveals Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will receive disturbing information from his family.
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be stunned by Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) news. Plus, Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) will share her wisdom with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). And Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will share an odd moment with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
Y&R spoilers tease Victor will return to the ranch and be surprised to see Nikki is still working. “It seems to me your meeting with Diane Jenkins lit a fire under you,” he’ll say. But Nikki will tell him her only focus is making a splash with their launch.

Then Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will arrive and he’ll say Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) was found unconscious in a room at the seedy motel. “She’s at the hospital, she’s alive but barely breathing.” Adam will say he’s afraid of what’ll happen to Nick when he finds out.
At Crimson Lights, Nick will flatter Esther and she’ll welcome him home. But a little while later, Joe the drug dealer will arrive. “Hey, what the hell are you doin’ here?” Nick will ask him. “I saw your friend Marie earlier,” he’ll reply. “She said she knew you.”
But Nick won’t believe it. He’ll say she’s not in Genoa City anymore. “You’re gonna stay away from me and my family and that includes Marie!” Nick will tell Joe, kicking him out. He’ll walk back inside and Sharon and Esther will stare at him.
Sharon will approach and Nick will flip out. “Can you please just give me a second?” he’ll ask. Then he’ll tell her he used to buy pills from that guy. Sharon will say he’s going to have reminders of when he used to use. “We just have to figure out how to move through it.”
“Who is we?” Nick will reply angrily. “Do you also have a drug problem? Stop trying to be my therapist!” Esther will bring a decaf tea to Nick and he’ll apologize to Sharon. He’ll tell her Joe said he saw Marie. Then he’ll get a call from Adam, asking him to come to the ranch.
Esther will tell Sharon that Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) struggled with alcoholism for years. She’ll say you can’t just be there for that person, you need to be there for yourself as well. “Nick will get through this and one of the main reasons why is because he has you.”

Meanwhile, Kyle will approach Claire and Victoria at Society. He’ll say hello and try to make a quick getaway but Claire will ask him to join. She’ll show him a photo his son sent him from Europe and they’ll reminisce, as Victoria smiles awkwardly.
Claire will get a text from her boyfriend and head home to call him. Kyle will say he probably shouldn’t have approached them. Victoria will say she doesn’t mind but admit she found it very odd. She’ll worry about someone seeing their texts. Kyle will suggest they should change how their names pop up on each other’s phones. And they’ll pick secret code names, Boris and Natasha.
Then she’ll get a call from Nikki. “We need to share some news with Nicholas and we’d like the whole family here,” she’ll say. Victoria will arrive at the ranch and wonder if they should tell Nick about this at all. Adam will say the news could threaten Nick’s sobriety.
Finally, Nick will show up and think it’s an intervention. Victor will assure him it’s not, but there’s some news he needs to hear about. So Adam will tell him Marie was found at the motel where they were together. “She OD’d again.”
Nick will ask if she’s dead and Adam will say thankfully no. “This doesn’t make any sense,” Nick will reply. “I need to process this on my own.” He’ll say he’s going to fly her parents out to be with her. But Adam will tell him he had a reporter look into it and Marie doesn’t have any family.
Then Nick will insist on going to the hospital. “I promise you I can handle this, I just need to deal with this my own way,” he’ll tell his family as he heads out. Nick will stand outside the front door, filled with rage. “Damn you Joe, you’re a dead man,” he’ll say to himself.
